Evening Meeting time and place:
The Collinsville Patchworkers quilt guild meets on the second Tuesday of the month, at the Collinsville, Oklahoma, Library from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
Our meetings are free to attend and offer a wealth of inspiration and stimulation for the beginning quilter as well as an experienced quilter. During the meetings we will have a program which might demonstrate a new technique or how to refine a common technique used to complete a quilt. Sometimes we have a group discussion about a particular theme. One such theme was "Quilters never throw anything away" and all the members brought in examples of how they reuse or repurpose things, instead of adding them to the trash heap.
Sew In time and place:
Members can come with their own projects and sewing machines and supplies and spend the day in fellowship, sewing with like minded enthusiasts. The Sew In is free to attend and all that is asked is to bring a pot luck dish to share.

Special Events and Activities:
Every spring and fall we go on retreat for a 2 night 3 day stay at a retreat center on Lake Fort Gibson. This is a wonderful time of quilting fellowship that lets everyone relax and get some projects completed.
Our group also has special projects, such as a Mystery Quilt in the works. A Mystery Quilt is where one person knows the outcome of the quilt and hands out 1 or 2 patterns a month, to members that want to participate, and there is a follow up meeting when the quilts are shown in whatever stage of completion to the guild. It's always fun to see how people given the same pattern can create things so different.
We also do some good works from time to time. Recently, several members worked together to make a quilt for Quilts of Valor. This organization donates quilts to service members. Many members make items, dog beds and scarves for dogs, for Ward-Wiseman No Kill Animal Shelter in Collinsville.
It is the member's choice to participate in any or all of the fun things we do in this guild.
Come join us and help make your life and the Collinsville Community a little better!!
