We have a Show and Tell, where members bring their projects they are currently working on or have finished. Following Show and Tell there is a short informative demonstration or program. March, 10, our program will be a discussion of what makes a modern quilt. April, 14th, Our program will be given by Ann Olson and Pete Olson. Ann is an award winning Long Arm Quilter. She will be discussing what you need to do to prepare your quilt for the Long Arm professional to work on your quilt. May 12, Vickie Johnston Ewing will be discussing ways to stash bust and show us some patterns and tips for making relatively easy quilts. June 9th, Election of Officers and our Program will be the completion of a Mystery Quilt pattern some of us participated in making.
Evening Meeting time and place: The Collinsville Patchworkers quilt guild meets on the second Tuesday of the month, at the Collinsville, Oklahoma, Library from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Our meetings are free to attend and offer a wealth of inspiration and stimulation for the beginning quilter as well as an experienced quilter. During the meetings we will have a program which might demonstrate a new technique or how to refine a common technique used to complete a quilt. Sometimes we have a group discussion about a particular theme. One such theme was "Quilters never throw anything away" and all the members brought in examples of how they reuse or repurpose things, instead of adding them to the trash heap.
